Lidia PUIGVERT

Professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Barcelona (Spain) and Affiliate Member of The Justice and Society Research Center at the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge (UK)

Professor Lidia Puigvert is Ranked number 7, among the top 10 scientists in the field of gender-based violence in the international ranking of Google scholar.

Full Professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Barcelona and Affiliate Member of The Justice and Society Research Center at the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge.

Member of Me too University. As policy and social impact of her work: results were included in the Spanish Law for Effective Equality between Women and Men (2007) and led to the creation of the first protocol for the prevention of sexual harassment and response in a Spanish university.

Her work has been published in top-ranked journals as well as in several books among which we highlight in 2003: “Women and social transformation” published together with Judith Butler and Elisabeth Beck-Gernsheim.

She is currently Director of the ISREC Research Center -Interdisciplinary Social Research Centre of the University of Barcelona and Principal Investigator of one of the SGR Consolidated Research Groups that comprise it: 2021 SGR SASIR -Successful Actions on Social Impact Research. Puigvert is an expert in the analysis of sexual consent, on which she has directed the competitive state research project R+D: Consent from speech acts to communicative acts. And on which he currently directs the Research Network CONSENTNET Communicative acts that promote consent, funded by the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023.
